Türkiye'de bugüne kadar Japon tiyatrosu neredeyse hiç sahnelenmedi. "2010 Türkiye'de Japonya Yılı" vesilesiyle bir takım tiyatro toplulukları Türkiye'nin birçok şehrinde oyun sergilemeyi planlamaktadır. Mayıs ayında, "Bunkaza Tiyatro Topluluğu"nun oyunları sahnelenecek ve bu sayede bugüne kadar bilinmeyen Japon tiyatro dünyası Türk halkına kapılarını açacaktır. Aynı zamanda da Türk tiyatro dünyasındaki kişiler Türk tiyatrosunun mevcut durumunu konuşacaktır. İki ülke de aktif tiyatro etkinliklerine sahip ve her ülkenin de ayrı ayrı sorunları var. İki tarafın da tiyatro düşüncelerini ve sorunlarını paylaşacağı bu sempozyum, tiyatrolarının gelişmesinde yararlı olacaktır. Ayrıca, bu etkileşim sayesinde Japonya ile Türkiye arasındaki dostluğun daha da derinleşeceğini düşünüyoruz.

Almost no Japanese play has been staged in Turkey till now. On the occasion of the "Japan Year 2010 in Turkey", a number of theater troupes are planning to stage plays in many cities of Turkey. In May, "Bunkaza Theater Troupe" will stage plays and the yet unfamiliar Japanese theater will open its curtains for the Turkish people. Also experts of Turkish theater will discuss the current state of the Turkish theater. Both countries have active theater events and their specific problems. The symposium, in which both sides will share their ideas and problems pertaining to theater, will be useful for the development of the theaters of both sides. These activities are believed to foster the already close relationship between the two countries.
