Öğrencilerin mesleki bilgi ve becerilerini kullanarak girişimcilik, bilimsel düşünme, yaratıcı zekâ ve rekabet bilinciyle araştırmaya yönelmelerini teşvik etmek amacıyla üniversite, lise, mesleki ve teknik liseler arasında düzenlenen robot yarışmasının bu yıl dördüncüsü gerçekleştirilecektir. "Türkiye'de Japonya Yılı" münasebetiyle bu senenin teması Türk - Japon dostluk ilişkisi olan yarışmada dostluk köprüsü, çizgi izleyen robotlar ve sumo güreşçisi robotlar olmak üzere üç ayrı kategori bulunmaktadır, Japon robot teknolojisinin ülkemizde tanıtılması ve iki ülke öğrencileri arasında etkileşimi sağlamak amacıyla Japonya Ulusal Sumo Robot Yarışmasında birinci olan takım sumo kategorisinde yarışmak, Japonya Ulusal Robot Yarışmasında birinci olan ve özel ödül alan takımlar ise gösteri yapmak üzere 4. Uluslararası Robot Yarışması'na katılacaklardır. Ayrıca, yarışmaların yapılacağı iki gün boyunca Honda Türkiye A.Ş. sponsorluğunda "Asimo Gösterileri" gerçekleştirilecektir.

The fourth robot contest, which will bring together students from universities, high schools, vocational schools and technical high schools, is intended to encourage students to make research by using their knowledge and skills with the consciousness of entrepreneurship, creative intelligence and competition. On the occasion of the Japan Year 2010 in Turkey, the theme of this year's contest is "Turkish-Japanese Relations" and there are three different categories: bridge of friendship, robots following a line and sumo wrestlers. With the aim of promoting the robotics technology in Japan and to foster interaction between students of the two countries, the winner of the Japanese National Sumo Robot Contest will compete in the sumo category. Moreover, the owners of the special awards will participate in the 4th International Robot Contest to make demonstrations. Moreover, during the two days, on which the contest will take place, "Asimo Performances" will be held sponsored by Honda Turkey.
